Mardom Decor trim and mouldings

Extra details are what makes a room feel finished, and trim and mouldings are used to add depth, character and interest to interior spaces.

We recently completed a new display to demonstrate all that can be achieved with Mardom Decor products. We used the products to create a more sophisticated and decorative final result but the possibilities are really endless depending on the end goals of your project. What are Mardom Decor mouldings made out of?

The mouldings are manufactured out of high-quality polymer materials. They don't mis-shape over time nor do they yellow. Another notable feature is that they have moisture resistance to them, meaning in rooms like kitchens and utility/laundry spaces they are also highly suitable.

What products have been used on your display?

Are they easy to install?

Due to their material, they are very light and therefore easy to hang – especially when thinking about coving. They are also easy to cut and do not create dust; any mess is minimal. Although easy to cut the material is harder than cheap polymer materials so can resist mechanical damage from cutting tools etc. and the pressure from these does not damage the product. Any gaps or joins can be filled in, and decorator caulk adheres to them as well. What do you use to glue them to the wall?

Mardom mounting adhesive. They also have a joint adhesive to be used when joining mouldings together.

How long do they take to order?

In most cases, just a few days!

What can you paint over them with? 

Any water-based paint is fine to paint over your mouldings with. The mouldings as standard come in a matte finish which has been factory coated with a primer. Where are they made?

Europe.

Where can I see the range and place an order?

At our shop in Oxfordshire! We have a large display of samples, from more simple to highly decorative coving and trim. Pricing and booklets of the full range are available, and orders can be placed through us!

Additional details:

• We painted the main display in Paint and Paper Library's Truffle no. 271 in Pure Flat Emulsion. Available to be mixed to any finish in our shop.

• The paints used on the sample display are Paint and Paper Libray's Kigali no.678 as the backboard and Squid Ink no. 698 on the sample trim pieces. Available to be mixed to any finish in our shop.

• The light pendant is a From the Anvil wall light 'Brindley' in the finish smooth nickel.
