About us

Relics was established in 1987 as an antique and secondhand shop providing a source of decorative and furnishing items. The proprietors have now developed this resource into an unrivalled collection of restoration, finishing and decorative paint supplies.

Although the old furniture has gone, 'an antique feel' remains a characteristic of the shop with its board floor, flights of storage drawers and ready assistance on hand to offer help and advice.

This specialist business combines two main fields of interest – decorative paint supplies and restoration/finishing materials for furniture. Each side benefiting from the company commitment to quality of service, quality of products and many years of industry-related experience. Whatever the needs of your home or project the team will be there to help and advise you.

Wander through this Aladdin's cave and discover hand made carvings in pine and dummy books that will enhance an indifferent door, bookcase, wall or frame, or admire the flexibility and creativity of Jali M.D.F. for pelmets, grills and edgings;  be amazed at the quality and range of fittings such as handles, knobs, locks, castors along with architectural ironmongery.

We have modern and traditional products with which to gild – metal leaf, real gold, gilt creams and varnishes, paints and foils.

We have been fortunate enough to attract wide attention from around the world – with enthusiastic amateurs, decorators and many professionals using Relics as a resource for products and accumulated knowledge.
